I love Watchmen! Its one of those really dark yet detailed stories that pulls you in, taking on the views of multiple people with lots of little stories in between. While Laurie isn't a real powerful character, shes very human and I found her own path interesting...not to mention I love Nite Owl!

When they released high res images of her movie outfit I studied them trying to figure out how they made the darn thing! Turns out its actually made of latex...and while I researched how to do so, in the end I decided I wasn't quite ready to take on a project like this for a beginner in the technique. Instead I decided on vinyl, which I do have experience with.

Its an interesting design - I basically pieced together a long sleeved leotard out of yellow and black, then made a corset that goes on top, matching the yellow and black pieces. The zipper in the front is functional so it doesn't have to be laced each time.
