I've always loved Star Wars and have been wanting to do something from it...and the aliens are so much more interesting than the humans!

I actually started the outfit a year or two before finishing it. At first I was totally stumped on how to make the headpiece...as I wanted something nicer than simply making them out of something like tights. I also knew I didn't quite have the time, money, or skill to go about making a full set of lekku myself. I finally came upon another Aayla costumer who was very nice to cast another headpiece for me and offer advice!

After getting the headpiece I was all set on the rest. A lot of people ask about the bodypaint. It's Ben Nye's "Cosmic Blue" color which is airbrushed on and takes about an hour to do so!

Its so much fun to be a jedi. Everyone knows Star Wars! Kids and parents alike want their picture with you :)
